Emirates has announced that members of its frequent flyer programme will be able to earn double miles on more than 100 flights across its network from July to October.

The offer is available on services to more than 60 popular cities such as London, Munich, Sao Paulo, Doha and Mumbai.

All members of the Skywards programme who register and fly in Emirates' first, business and economy class seats to certain destinations will be eligible for the double bonus.

There is no limit to the number of miles that can be earned and flights will be included in the promotion even if they are part of an overall itinerary.

For instance, a business class passenger would earn double miles for a flight between London and Dubai even if the journey was the first leg of a trip to Sydney.

Skywards miles can be exchanged for upgrades or rewards on Emirates flights or used on the airline's online shopping platform.

In other recent news, Emirates increased the frequency of its service between Dubai and Sao Paulo, meaning that travellers can now catch one flight a day from the United Arab Emirates to Brazil.
