German Christmas market brochure released

The national tourist office of Germany has released its 2008 brochure providing information on the Christmas markets that will be open to visitors this year.
Over 40 pages, the brochure covers the northern, eastern, southern and western regions of the country and lists all Christmas markets including opening times and other attractions.
Each section features special recommendations for attractions such as markets in castles.
Germany's Christmas markets traditionally open on the last weekend in November in an event that officially gets the country's festive season underway.
The most popular market locations include Bremen in the north, which boasts some 150 stalls around the Gothic town hall, Roland statue and St Peter's cathedral.
Dortmund is home to Germany's biggest market of all, which also boasts the world's tallest Christmas tree, while in Berlin visitors will be able to choose from up to 50 separate markets.
