Free China holiday guide is updated

A free tourist guide - the China Outbound Travel Handbook - has been updated for the first time following its release three years ago.
The 2008 edition of the handbook offers an insight into the hype of the Beijing Olympics as well as other interesting facts.
ChinaContact Tourism Advice Network publishes the handbook electronically and it includes both statistical information as well as details of the "cultural insights" found in China.
Earlier this year, Real Travel magazine reported that China was set to see its tourism numbers from the UK grow.
'As China's markets increasingly open up and its international prominence grows, travelling in the PRC [People's Republic of China] is definitely becoming easier,' Hfu Reisenhofer, production editor of Real Travel magazine commented.
He added that the country had much to offer in terms of culture such as the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City.
