Dublin to celebrate Christmas on Ice
12 September 2008
People who are already looking forward to Christmas may want to start planning their trips to Dublin soon to enjoy the 7UP Christmas on Ice event.
This celebration of festive cheer will be held at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) for the sixth time this year and also come to the Liffey Valley shopping centre for the second time, meaning visitors will be able to shop and skate.
Getting underway on 14 November, the event will run until 4 January at Liffey Valley and 11 January at the RDS.
7UP Christmas on Ice has been described by the Late Late Show, Gerry Ryan and TV3 as the 'must-do' festive activity in Dublin.
Visitors will be able to enjoy almost 2,000 square metres of ice, including fully-covered main, beginners' and kids' rinks with viewing areas.
Every weekend the ice rinks will host skating Santas, which always prove popular with the crowds, and from 30 December to 2 January there will be a skate camp for children aged eight to 15.
