The Montserrat Tourist Board has announced a number of leisure and sport developments that have recently taken place on the Caribbean island.

These include the launch of Zekie's Horseback Riding Tours, which is the first company on the island to offer horseback riding experiences.

Visitors can choose four different trips to choose from, taking in locations such as the Belham Valley volcanic landscape and, for experienced riders, a rainforest tour.

Another recent development on the island is the opening of Scuba Montserrat, a brand new dive shop.

Here, holidaymakers can book diving lessons and arrange personalised dive and snorkel excursions, or organise beach picnics, parties and boat tours that pass the island's volcanoes.

On 25 October Montserrat will host its 14th annual fishing tournament, while on 1 November the island of Antigua, which is a 20-minute flight from Montserrat, will hold a 20/20 cricket match between the West Indian Stanford Superstars and England.
