BridgeClimb Sydney celebrates ten years
01 October 2008

BridgeClimb Sydney has celebrated ten years of offering people the chance to climb to the top of one of the most famous landmarks in Australia.

The company marked its ten-year anniversary on 1 October with an event that saw 137 climbers carry a flag onto the arch of Sydney Harbour Bridge, representing the nationality of every person who has ever scaled the iconic tourist attraction.

Since it began operating in October 1998, BridgeClimb Sydney has guided more than 2.2m people from all over the world to the top of the Harbour Bridge.

Paul Cave, founder and chairman of the company, said: 'We are delighted to be celebrating BridgeClimb's tenth anniversary and extremely proud to be able to share this unforgettable experience with Australians and visitors from all over the world.

'It's been very rewarding to witness the business evolve over the past ten years and I look forward to seeing how we can further develop our experiences and keep giving back to the community in the future.'

Visitors to Sydney who are over the age of ten and in good health can embark on dawn, day, twilight and night ascents of the Harbour Bridge.

Earlier this year, BridgeClimb began offering wedding packages, giving couples the chance to say their vows at the summit of the famous landmark.
