Bmi doubles London-Moscow frequency
04 September 2008
Bmi has announced that it will double its number of flights from London Heathrow to Moscow Domodedovo in its winter timetable.
The airline will offer two flights a day between London and Moscow to build on the success that it has already seen with its daily service, which has been running since October 2006.
Business class passengers are expected to make particularly good use of the route and the airline's business cabin, offering leather seats and a 50-inch seat pitch.
Peter Spencer, managing director of bmi, said: 'We have been planning to launch additional services between London and Moscow for some time, so are delighted to realise our ambition.
'Since launching the route nearly two years ago we have experienced strong growth and feel introducing an extra return flight combined with our market leading business class cabin we can offer business customers a real alternative.'
Bmi's second daily service to Moscow represents an extension to its commercial agreement with Russian carrier Transaero Airlines.
Between these two operators, customers will be offered four flights a day in each direction between the English and Russian capitals, more than is offered by any other airline partnership.
