Marlay Park to host rock greats
23 June 2008
Visitors to Dublin will be treated to some musical entertainment from the top drawer this summer when Marlay Park hosts some of the biggest names in modern pop and rock.
Lenny Kravitz will be the first star to entertain the crowds in Ireland he will perform on 19 August with support from popular singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette.
The next group to perform in the series of three shows can be counted as genuine rock royalty Metallica will play on 20 August and be supported by the quirky Tenacious D.
Rounding off the run of gigs will be the Killers, who will have no support, keeping the stage all to themselves on 21 August.
People on holiday in Dublin around the time of these gigs will be able to reach Marlay Park via an organised bus service, which will run from Georges City Quay in the city centre.
Marlay Park is located in Rathfarnham in County Dublin and comprises woodlands, ponds, walks and a nine-hole golf course.
Opodo cheap flights, hotels and car hire - let the journey begin!
