Cunard has unveiled its itinerary of cruises for 2010, including a number of world voyages and the operator's maiden visit to South Africa.

The first of Cunard's two luxury liners, the Queen Mary 2, will set off on its world cruise in January 2010, charting a new eastbound-westbound route over 101 days.

This voyage will incorporate 19 maiden calls and three overnight stays in Hong Kong, Sydney and Cape Town.

Queen Victoria's 99-day voyage will include visits to 11 maiden ports, overnight stays in Sydney, Hong Kong and Dubai, and stops at three embarkation points in the US – New York, Fort Lauderdale and San Francisco.

Carol Marlow, president of Cunard, said: 'On this pair of epic voyages, Cunard continues a storied tradition that began nearly 90 years ago.

'In 2010, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria will visit a combined 31 countries, 57 ports and 30 maiden calls, continuing our legacy of impeccable White Star service, fine dining and unrivalled accommodations.'

In addition to its world cruises, Cunard will be offering a number of liner and segment voyages in 2010, which are more suited to people looking to explore specific regions and those who do not have the time to embark on a round-the-world trip.
