Toy and train fair comes to Dublin
18 March 2008
Visitors to Dublin will have an irresistible opportunity to indulge in some nostalgia and relive their childhoods at a toy and train fair being held in the city in May.
The event will celebrate its 15th anniversary this year and is set to attract as many exhibitors and visitors as ever.
Visitors with interests in every type of collectable toy will be able to find something of note at the event, from diecast models by Corgi and Dinky to Meccano construction kits and Hornby train sets.
There will also be movie memorabilia from the 1940s, 50s and 60s, antique dolls, teddy bears, jigsaw puzzles and modern collectables such as Beanie Babies.
Visitors will be able to find the fair at Clonarf Castle on May 25th.
Located just two miles away from the centre of Dublin, Clonarf Castle is a picturesque and atmospheric location for a fair.
It was first built in 1172, reconstructed in 1837 and has now been turned into a modern four-star hotel and conference venue.
